Payette is the solo project of Portland-based songwriter and producer Ryan Elliott. His music is indie-pop with a genre-bending twist, incorporating a wide variety of ideas from his continually expanding list of influences. Layered synthesizers, sequenced beats, and chorused guitars are frequent textures, often contrasted against grittier, distorted sounds. Lyrically, many of his songs focus on the importance of human connection within an increasingly chaotic world.
